Who are we?
The Nepean Foundation financially supports the world class medical research being undertaken in outer Western Sydney. Our aim is to improve the lives of people locally and around the world.
Pushing the boundaries of knowledge and shaping the healthcare of tomorrow.
Caring for our local community not only inspires our health professionals to deliver better care today and every day, it drives them to conduct bold research to push the boundaries of knowledge and shape the treatments of tomorrow.
Two research teams led by Nepean Hospital clinicians garnered international attention with papers in leading science journal, Nature Communications.
The teams have forged new directions in the globally significant research fields of influenza, pregnancy complications and allergies. “There are clear benefits for patients when treating clinicians are involved in research,” says researcher and paediatrician at Nepean Hospital, Professor Ralph Nanan.
